12/29/2004 -- CuBe Alloys Installs New Draw Bench

CuBe Alloys has completed the installation of a 100, 000 pound cold working draw bench at it`s facility in Kenosha, WI. The bench allows CuBe Alloys to produce it`s cold finished rod in sizes from 0.75" to 3" in-house.

The new bench is the latest in equipment and building investments that total over $3 Million over the last 4 years. In addition to the draw bench CuBe Alloys also added a lathe and press straightener at the same time.

In 2000, Cube Alloys added the most advanced vacuum annealing furnace in the beryllium copper industry to the Kenosha, WI facility.

On 16 June, 2004; Copper Beryllium Alloys, Inc. (d.b.a. CuBe Alloys) was notified that CuBe Alloys has successfully completed the upgrade of it`s ISO certification to the ISO 9001.2000 standard. The certification has been issued by Quality Assurance Systems, Inc. (QAS) based on the results of a recent audit of the CuBe Alloys facilities. Kathy Perez was the lead individual and ISO co-coordinator for CuBe Alloys in the pursuit of this certification.

4/1/2004 -- Cube Alloys welcomes U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan!

U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan of the 1st District of Wisconsin visited the plant of COpper Beryllium Alloys on February 17, 2004 to see the new vacuum annealing furnace installation recently completed ed at CuBe Alloys. This new furnace is certified to meet API and other industry standard specifications. It complements the heat treating furnace installed several years ago at this site in Kenosha, WI.

Congressman Ryan visited with the employees and owners of CuBe Alloys and listened to their concerns regarding the company`s participation in military and commercial business. Shown pictured with Congressman Ryan are CuBe Alloys employees Dan Gurgol, Kathy Perez, Sheri Anderson and Dave Witt.
